Spring Lake Outpost

Spend some off time at Spring Lake Outpost, where you can enjoy a day canoeing or kayaking on the Little River. Spring Lake Outpost is the only site in Cumberland County that offers watercraft rentals and a designated river route with pickup, and you can choose between a 3 mile or 6 mile route. Fort Bragg Clay Target Center

Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, all levels of shooters are welcome, and the center also offers instruction from their staff, many of whom are military veterans. If you didn’t bring your shotgun, no worries, you are welcome to rent or bring your own.

Anderson Creek Golf Course

If you love to get out on the green, you won’t want to miss Anderson Creek Club. This course was designed by the 1997 PGA Championship winner Davis Love III, who called it “…one of the finest courses I’ve ever played…” It boasts 18 holes of championship-caliber golf and an incredible practice facility.

Carvers Creek State Park

Carvers Creek is one of the gems of Spring Lake – a state park right in our very own backyard. Not only can you take a stroll on their beautiful trails, but you can also see Long Valley Farm, once a vacation home for James Stillman Rockefeller, of the Rockefeller family. The original home, buildings, and gristmill are still here, giving an extra touch of historical charm to this stunning state park.

Sandhills Farmers Market

Spring Lake’s agricultural roots run deep, and you’ll find many multi-generation farms in the area. Meet some of them and enjoy locally grown goods once a month at the Sandhills Farmers & Heritage market. You can also stop by some of them to enjoy agro-tourism and fun seasonal events.
